The Public Works Department maintains and operates several different divisions, including, but not limited to city streets and alleys, water and wastewater systems and their facilities, cemetery, parks, and animal control.

All public and private development that includes design and construction of water, sanitary sewer, streets or storm water elements is required to conform to the City of Dayton Public Works Standards.  Anyone interested in developing a public or private project is encouraged to contact City staff before commencing work.
